MEDICAL VISA
In the past few years, medical tourism in India has grown to remarkable heights. The improvement of India's medical infrastructure has captured the interest of medical tourists from around the world. In fact, India ranks 7th among the top 20 wellness tourism markets and 4th in the Asia-Pacific region.
Currently, India's visa-on-arrival system permits international tourists to stay for 60 days from the date of arrival. Patients must apply for an e-Medical Visa, while attendants must apply for an e-Medical Attendant Visa. The e-attendant Visa will have the same validity as the patient.
For an e-Medical or e-Medical Attendant Visa, people from eligible countries or territories can apply online at least four days before the date they plan to arrive, and they have up to 120 days to do so. For example, if you apply on September 1, you can choose an arrival date between 5th Sept to 2nd Jan.
